| 6:22am. MVFD operating with Carmel Police Department, NY and Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp. on Union Valley Road at Teakettle Spout Road with a one car MVA rollover into Teakettle Spout Lake.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel the operator had already extricated themselves from the overturned vehicle.
Fire department members in cold water rescue equipment entered the water to apply absorbing booms around the vehicle to contain any fluids that could have leaked from the vehicle while attempting to remove it. Fire department members also assisted with making the chain and cable connection for the tow truck operator so the vehicle could be removed.
The operator was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation and emergency personnel remained on scene for approximately 1 hour until the vehicle was removed from the water. |
