8:44am. MVFD was dispatched with Carmel Police Department, NY to a residence on Hillside Dr for a reported structure fire. Carmel police arrived first on scene and reported smoke in the residence but no visible fire.
Companies located an electrical issue which caused fire to spread on external siding in a sunroom area and extended within the stud bay of the wall to the adjacent bedroom wall.
Companies operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before turning the house back over to the homeowner.
