12:16pm. MVFD was dispatched with Carmel Police Department, NY to 177 East Lake Blvd of a reported residential structure fire. Car 18-1-2 arrived on location and reported a light smoke condition coming from the multi family structure and a fire on the 1st floor.

Car 18-1-2 then filled out his assignment for a structure fire bringing in Mahopac Falls Vol. Fire Department, Carmel Fire Dept. NY with a ladder and Yorktown Heights Volunteer FD as a FAST Team.

It was quickly discovered that a small fire had occurred in the 1st floor apartment and was brought under control by a dry chemical extinguisher, with a minor extension to the wall paneling.

Units operated on location for approximately 40 minutes ventilating the fire apartment as well as monitoring carbon monoxide levels throughout the rest of the building and apartments.
