3:42am. MVFD operating with Carmel Police Department, NY at a rubbish fire on South Lake Blvd in the parking lot of Swan Cove.

MVFD was originally dispatched for a vehicle fire, but arriving units found it to be a garbage collection vehicle had a small fire in its collection bin. The vehicle operator was able to off load the burning debris before it involved the vehicle itself.

Units remained on scene until it was determined to be safe for the garbage company to have their personnel remove all the debris into another container.
