11/13/24. 2:09pm. MVFD was dispatched with Carmel Police Department, NY to the area of 979 Route 6 located in the Lake Plaza on a reported MVA with injuries.

First arriving units discovered a vehicle had been driven over the curb onto the sidewalk and into the plate glass window of the Nuvance Health Care facility. The vehicle came to rest within one of the exam rooms that was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Operator was transported for medical evaluation and the Town of Carmel Building Inspector was called to the scene to assure no structural members of the building had been compromised by the vehicle before it could be removed.

MVFD remained on scene for approximately 30 mins until the vehicle could be removed.
