This morning members of MVFD were joined by other first responders from Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, FDNY and Carmel Police to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Members had moments of silence for the plane strikes on the two Towers, Pentagon and the plane that went down in the fields of Pennsylvania. Signal 5555 was rung out to honor all the members of the FDNY at the time of the towers collapse.
MVFD received a special presentation from local resident Monica Crecco who painted a portrait of the towers and presented it to Ex-Chief Frido Goerlich and Commissioner Laura Whitten. |
