10:45am. MVFD members gathered today to say goodbye to Ex-Chief Kurt Beger. Kurt was instrumental in the fire service holding many titles throughout the 61 years he served. He was Commissioner, Chairman of the Board, Parade Marshal and the youngest member to ever be named Chief of the Department at the age of 27. He will be missed.
