Today the Mahopac Fire Department again showed its support for the Ty Lewis Campbell Foundation as it kicked off its 6th annual triathlon fundraiser for children’s cancer treatment. Mahopac Fire Department provided EMS support and traffic control along the race route. In the last 6 years the foundation has raised over $300,000 dollars in honor of 5 year old Ty Campbell. Racers took part in a 1/4 mile swim in Lake Mahopac, then a 10.1 mile bike ride, completing with a 5k run. Also providing support was Mahopac Falls Fire Department, Carmel Police and the Putnam County Sheriffs Department with their Marine, Bicycle and Motorcycle units.
